Plastics
Within the recycling work carried out by RMD, we recover PVC and Polyethylene from the cable treatment process. Our work to achieve the goal of “zero waste” is constant and, for this reason, we have implemented the most advanced cleaning systems for plastic from cable recycling, which allow us to valorise these materials in a way that guarantees their suitability for new manufacturing processes.
Polyethylene
We obtain two types of polyethylene depending on whether it comes from the recycling of cables with copper content or cables with aluminium content. Both are obtained after the processes of shredding cables, separation of components and final cleaning of materials.
Description: Polyethylene shot, from the recycling of cables with copper content.
Applications/Uses: This shot is used for the manufacture of new plastics or as an alternative fuel.
Description: Mostly cross-linked polyethylene shot, from the recycling of aluminium cables.
Applications/Uses: This shot is used for the manufacture of new plastics or as an alternative fuel.
PVC
We obtain PVC from our copper content cable recycling processes.
After a final separation process in washing ponds, we obtain a material suitable for use in new manufacturing processes.
Description: PVC shot, from the recycling of cables with copper content.
Applications/Uses: This shot is used for the manufacture of new plastics.
