Metals
RMD's main activity is the recovery and recycling of materials rich in copper and aluminium.
The raw materials consist of used copper and aluminium cables and aluminium profiles. The cables are made up of one or more covers that can basically be metallic (aluminium, steel, lead), plastic (PE, PVC, rubber, or other inert polymers) and/or textiles, and metallic conductor cables that can be copper, aluminium, or tinned copper.
Metal shots
Copper, aluminium, and iron shots.
The granulometry varies from 0.2mm. up to 2mm., reaching a purity in aluminium of up to 99.5%, and in copper of 99.9%. This shot is used for various applications, mainly in foundries.

Merchandise
Non-ferrous metals
This category includes all kinds of products with a significant content of non-ferrous metals, mainly copper and aluminium. These products are mostly destined for export, mainly to Asian countries, where a material utilization rate of close to 100% is achieved.

Aluminium profile
Scrap profile purification
RMD has developed a specific technique for purifying scrap profile. These are pieces from aluminium extrusion, chopped to a size between 12mm and 80mm. Its high furnace performance and closeness to the 6063 alloy make it suitable for extrusion product foundries and secondary alloy refiners.

European leader in the recycling of different types of electrical conductors
RMD is today the European leader in the recycling of different types of electrical conductors containing non-ferrous metals.
Using electromechanical processes, we shred the wiring and separate the components, valuing them and transforming them into high-quality raw materials.
